Church Fundraisers - A Difficult Market

Church fundraisers can be hard work. There's so many churches doing church fundraisers now that it can be hard to differentiate your church fundraiser from everyone elses.

There are so many churches now. And a pressing need for funds. Church fundraisers are everywhere. How do you make yours work?

You need a good church fund raiser idea. But that's not the whole of it. Because as we've said, it's not the idea which works but the execution of the fundraising plan.

And church fundraisers are no different. If you do them wrong they won't work. Period. You have to approach church fundraisers professionally. Don't assume that people are falling over themselves to give you money just because you are a church.

So what do we do for successful church fundraisers?

Firstly you need to know who is in charge of the fundraising. How much money you need to raise and why. What personnel you have available to you. What their time restrictions are. What their skills are.

You need to know who you expect the money to come from. Without knowing this you may well fail right from the start. Is it the congregation or is it another group? How will you reach them? What is your fundraising proposition? How will you convince them that your fundraiser is a better one to donate to than the next one?

So church fundraisers are like all other fundraisers. You need to know what you are doing. You need to be a professional fundraiser, or at least act like one. You need the skills.

But how?

Turn to the resource that many other fundraisers are using now to ramp up their fundraising efforts. To learn the skills of fundraising. To learn how to do it like a professional.
