Cheerleading Fundraisers Work, If You Do Them Properly

But don't therefore assume that if cheerleading fundraisers are still good fundraisers you need to do a cheerleading fund raiser.

Cheerleading fundraisers are like any other form of fundraiser. It's usually not the fundraiser that counts, it's more HOW WELL YOU DO IT. Well run cheerleader fundraisers will do well. Poorly run cheerleader fundraisers will not.

Because it's not the fundraiser you select that determines your success!

It's not the fundraiser, it's the way it's done. There is a whole range of stuff you need to do first before you select your fundraiser idea. Cheerleading fundraisers may just not be well suited to your organisation.

For example, have you answered these questions first? WHO are you fundraising from? In other words who is your target market? WHO is on your fundraising team? What skills do they have. How much time do they have? What tasks will they do?

It's no good relying on kids, for example, and then asking them to do tasks better suited to adults. It's no good selecting a computer based fundraiser if no-one know how to use a computer.

The fundraising process should be an easy to follow step by step planned process, including choosing the fundraiser. And once you've set out how the process works for you then follow it each time, from one fundraiser to another, because it's the process that counts, not the fundraiser.

And if you end up doing cheerleading fundraisers after following this process then you'll do cheerleading fundraisers because you know they will work for you.
